Camping Trip

Here are a few layouts using some photos I took while on a camping trip. I tore a slit in the paper and sewed an X over the folded back piece. My journaling is tucked away in a pocket that I had in my stash for years. I love to look through my stash and find stuff I still like from purchases made years ago. I have to confess most items I bought from years ago I don't like. I ended up giving so much of it away so it's nice when I find things I like as much now as I did then. It's even nicer when I can find the perfect place to use them.

Here is another one from a camping trip. My son Wesley showing his daughter how to fish. I love photos that show interaction between people. I used some stickers on this one. Yes, I used stickers but I think they worked. Most everything on this layout was from my old stash. I am trying to use some of that stuff I bought so long ago that I thought I couldn't live without at the time. I made the tags from office supply tags and cut the title from my Cricut.

Play Hard / No Limits

Here are two layouts I added to the Sweet Peach Crop Shop blog Friday. I love the papers and colors in the July kit and they worked so good with these photos. The two layouts were not intended to be a double page layout even though the papers are exactly the same. I Love my two nieces and enjoyed taking these pictures as much as I enjoyed making the layouts. My last year has been so busy I didn't even get to one of their games. I will make an effort next year to slow down and enjoy them more. After all they will be grown soon.

My son bought his first house in August of 2007. I was so proud of him. These pictures are from his house warming party in Sept.

You are not seeing double. These are duplicate pictures. I ended up with a lot of extra pictures after making a Birthday poster for Aubrey's big #3 so I had to scrapbook them. Besides, I will put some of these layouts in a book for her to keep at home. Aren't these great pictures?  This layout is really nothing to brag about just added the pictures and a few embellies. The pictures were so big and over powering not much else to do.

Here is the July Sketch #1 for Sweet Peach Crop Shop. The July kit is so awesome. The layout I did is about Aubrey's eye surgery. I wanted to try paper rolling on the edges. It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted but it will do. The rain drops didn't come out at all like I had hoped. I was going to start all over just because of this one item. I decided to keep the rain drops because they reminded me of how bad Aubrey's eyes would tear. The tears would run down her checks and it would look as if she were crying but it was just those nasty styes. They continue to treat her eyes but the styes are returning. I hope this time the medicine will remove them without more surgery.

Another layout from a Sweet Peach kit. This one is from the April kit. Their kits are great.

This layout was created for Sweet Peach Crop Shop with their May kit. The colors fit perfectly with this picture.

Here is a double layout with pictures I took in my front yard one beautiful day. I used some Webster's Pages paper and flowers from some floral stems I picked up somewhere. I hope you enjoy.

I took these photos of my neice Kaitlyn and April and wanted to scrapbook them. I was really happy with how they turned out.

We just returned from a camping trip to Desoto Falls State Park in AL with some friends. We had a really good time but very hot. I only took about five pictures the entire weekend so I'm a bit bummed about that. I must get better about taking pictures. How can I scrapbook if I keep forgetting my camera? Do you ever do that?

This is a layout of my niece and grand daughter. It was taken at my mother-in-laws house just after Aubrey started walking good. I love how my niece Stephanie was coaching her along. There were no fancy techniques here just a very simple quick layout I did in a few minutes.

Finally I am adding the rest of the pictures from my mini album. This album was super fast to create and so much fun.

Here is the cover of  the 6x6 album. While I was creating the 3x3 meandering mini album I looked over and saw the Echo Part 'For The Record' paper and realized the two sheets that had the 6 inch squares would make a really sweet album using the same method as the small 3x3 album. I sealed the edges of the pocket pages with ribbon and hot glue. This gave the pockets plenty of room for the tags. I also added a chip board cover and wrapped the eyelet trim for the binding. I used almost every item in the Sweet Peach March kit this month. It was a lot of fun. I will post the rest of the pictures tomorrow.
Good night all!

Here are pictures of my meandering book. I used one sheet of paper from SPCS March kit, Echo Park 'For The Record'. These 3x3 mini albums are so much fun and very addictive. I found' the instructions on the Tim Holtz Valentine YouTube video. Below is the link
My sweet gran daughter playing in the sand in Destin last summer. I added mudd puddles sand paste over the title. It really makes it look beachy. The swirls were created using water colors and layering the card stock cut from the Cricut and then piecing together Prima bling. The large punch at the bottom is a deep edge Martha Stewart. All of the papers were from Sweet Peach Crop Shop March kit.
Here is a layout I did of my mother when she was around 20. I added a piece of mica with a bird stamp just above the pocket watch but it does not show up very well on the picture. It looks really nice in person. I should have taken if off for the picture but it looked so cool on the layout. My mother didn't want me to wear short shorts when I was growing up. If only I had this picture back then to present my case. I miss her so much and wish she were still here to give me direction from time to time.
